Organizational Management during the planning and execution of Operation Anaconda THESIS: During the Organizational planning and execution of Operation Anaconda there were 3 key factors in the underutilization of our assets and capabilities. TITLE: Organizational Management Failure of Operation Anaconda I. Personnel: A. Units and their structure 1. This led to the lack of cohesion and unit relationships due to the lack of combined training and rehearsals. II. Equipment: A. Air Assets, Aerial Reconnaissance, and Artillery 1. proper planning would have bolstered the effectiveness of our Weapons and reconnaissance capabilities A. Communication: A. Communication between platforms used by conventional Forces and SOF 1. Communication platforms between us and Special operations Forces were not combined causing a lack of shared information and targeting between partner forces. B. The Command relationships that should be formed prior to an operation; commanders talking and planning 1. This caused a break in the chain of command at multiple levels a who is in charge type of situation during the planning and execution of operations. Conclusion: There were 3 key factors in the underutilization of our assets and capabilities during the planning and execution of Operation Anaconda.
