Provide context of the series’ main characters, events, and themes to orient other students to it; (2) select a particular topic or problematic that makes the series relevant to discuss in the context of #MeToo (depictions of sexual relationships, representation of violence, costuming and female characters, etc.) ; and (3) provide an analysis of the series from the point of view of the ideas about gender and television that we discuss throughout the term (i.e., an interpretation of the series, commenting on whether it advances or impedes questions of gender equality and television, and explaining why).
