You will write a wisdom poem. Remember as you write that a poem intended as wisdom only remain relevant for centuries if the message is broad enough and open to varying interpretations. Be sure to provide enough identifying details in your poem so the allusion is clear. Evocative imagery is always important in poetry. Be sure your images are clear and focused on your message, however. If you decide to use meter or a rhyme scheme, remember to vary them periodically. You can choose lines or thoughts to highlight with your changes. As introduction to your poem write down a few words that describe the tone of your poem. You should also write down a description of what form your poem will take. Will it be free verse? Iambic pentameter? A sonnet? Will you use a rhyme scheme?
